Dana Perry, an Idaho native, comes to Early Stages after a year of service with AmeriCorps, promoting community connectedness and volunteer capacity at The Doe Fund, a homeless services organization. Before that, she worked at the Girl Scouts Pacific Peaks Council, where she provided program management and direct service delivery for FOCUSS, a program for girls in foster care; developed and implemented curriculum for Tacoma Hilltop Artists in Residence, an alternative education high school; and authored nationally distributed programming materials and age-sensitive health and mental wellness articles for Girl Scouts USA.

Dana has a BA in Sociology and Gender Studies from Pacific Lutheran University in Tacoma, WA, and an MA in Sociology from the New School for Social Research in New York. An accomplished musician, she developed a love affair with classical piano at the age of six, when her hands first reached a keyboard.
