DAVID J GIBBS is Managing Director at TPG Specialty Lending focusing on the origination, execution, and management of financing opportunities in the healthcare sector. Previously, Mr. Gibbs was a Managing Director and Head of Healthcare Leveraged Finance at Bank of Ireland. Prior to joining Bank of Ireland, Mr. Gibbs was a Managing Director and led the private healthcare investing activities for Marathon Asset Management from 2006-2009. Marathon is a global credit-oriented alternative asset manager with ~ $10B in capital under management. Mr. Gibbs was also involved in the firm's pharmaceutical royalty investment activities. Prior to joining Marathon, Mr. Gibbs spent ten years at GE Capital. From 2003-2006, Mr. Gibbs was a Managing Director and led the healthcare sponsor coverage business for GE Global Sponsor Finance. From 1996-2003, Mr.Gibbs was a Senior Vice President and member of the healthcare investment team at GE Equity. Mr. Gibbs received a B.S. in Business Administration from the University of Southern California in 1990 and an M.B.A. from Columbia University in 1996.
