Matt Cavenaugh a native Arkansan, is currently playing Tony in the highly acclaimed revival of WEST SIDE STORY. Previous Broadway credits include GREY GARDENS, playing both Joe Kennedy Jr. and Jerry Torre (known affectionately as "the marble faun"), and A CATERED AFFAIR. Matt made his Broadway debut as Bud in the musical version of the film, URBAN COWBOY. He traveled the country in the national tour of THOROUGHLY MODERN MILLIE, and has worked at numerous regional theatres including The Old Globe, La Jolla Playhouse, Williamstown Theatre Festival, George Street Playhouse and the Denver Center. Television credits include AS THE WORLD TURNS, ONE LIFE TO LIVE, as well as the indy films, SEXUAL DEPENDENCY and NEW BROOKLYN. Original cast recordings include WEST SIDE STORY, GREY GARDENS, and A CATERED AFFAIR. A graduate of Ithaca College, Matt has been a featured performer and teacher at numerous colleges and high schools across the country, and looks forward to the many opportunities and blessings that Early Stages provides.
