In School Programs

The Early Stages School Based Programs engage students in the theater arts as a form of personal expression, as a window on the varied professional opportunities in the performing arts and as a complement to traditional curriculum material.

Early Stages programs are fashioned in collaboration with individual schools and are designed to give students and teachers diverse tools to meet the current performing and language arts standards. The goal for all Early Stages workshops and residencies is to address the diverse cultural needs of the communities we serve through the performing arts.

Early Stages has contracts with the New York City Board of Education for teacher development and direct student services in the performing arts, allowing individual schools to participate in our programs through Project Arts funding.
