
Farah Bala was last seen in Delaware Theater Co.'s 'Around the World in 80 Days' and in the Off Broadway hit Tales From The Tunnel in NY. Originally from Bombay, India, Farah has an MFA in Theater from Sarah Lawrence College, NY and is a 2 year recipient of the Fezana Performing Arts Award. Other theater credits include her One-woman show, To The Death of My Own Family (India Tour and tri-state performances), Lady Macbeth in Macbeth, Sylviain Two Gentlemen of Verona, 167 Tongues (Jackson Rep), Letters to Baghdad (Maine),Fear Up (NY Fringe), among others. Film credits include Entre Nos, The War Within (both lauded at international film festivals) and Karma, Confessions and Holi produced by Drena DeNiro, among others. Her work can also be seen on HBO and HUM TV.
As a teaching artist, Farah is affiliated with Early Stages, ENACT, The Leadership Program, and The Shakespeare Society among others. She has led and facilitated Drama Therapy Sessions, Violence Prevention and Bullying workshops, Literacy Programs and performance based residencies throughout New York City.
