Farah Bala is an actor, director and teaching artist residing in New York City. A founding member of Q Theater Productions in her hometown, Bombay, India, Farah has an MFA in Theater from Sarah Lawrence College, NY and is a 2 year recipient of the Fezana Performing Arts Award.

Theater credits include her One-woman show, To The Death of My Own Family, Lady Macbeth in Macbeth, Sylviain Two Gentlemen of Verona, Letters to Baghdad (Winter Harbor Theatre Company, ME), Fear Up (NY Fringe Festival), Favorite Colors(Midtown International Theater Festival).

Film and TV credits include Karma, Confessions and Holi produced by Drena DeNiro.  Her work can also be seen on  HBO and Pakistan's HUM TV.

As a teaching artist, Farah is affiliated with City Lights Youth Theater, ENACT, The Leadership Program, Early Stages and the Shakespeare Society among others. She has led and facilitated Drama Therapy Sessions, Violence Prevention and Bullying workshops, Literacy Programs and performance based residencies.
