Julia
Morris (with Early Stages since 1998), a storyteller and early childhood drama specialist, has performed in children's theater and puppet shows including the Brooklyn Arts Exchange (BAX) and Tribeca Film Festival. She has worked in public and private schools in NYC and Washington, DC and has developed a story-based drama curriculum entitled The Imagination Station, a teaching model, based in movement, which has been implemented successfully in various early childhood settings. Ms. Morris conducts training workshops for teachers, including the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC), on fostering literacy through the integration of movement, drama, and story in the classroom. Morris has a Masters Degree from NYU in Theater Education and is pursuing a Ph.D. in Mythological Studies at the Pacifica Graduate Institute in Santa Barbara, CA.
